CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES - Charitable
gift annuities are available to individuals who wish to make a gift
and receive an income for life. The donor makes a gift of cash or
appreciated property (typically stock or securities), which is invested
by Wesley Homes. Donors receive annuity payments at fixed, very
high rates of return (up 12%) for life. Upon death, the residual
passes to Wesley Homes. Charitable gift annuities provide partially
tax-free income, a charitable gift deduction, and in the case of
appreciated stock or securities, a bypass of capital gains. The
Foundation Director, can provide specific details based on your
personal situation. Gift annuity donors also become members of the
Rose Society.
PLANNED GIFTS - The Foundation Director
is available to work with donors to explore other planned giving
options, develop proposals, and work with personal financial advisors
and attorneys. The Foundation accepts other planned gifts, including
charitable remainder trusts and testamentary trusts and annuities,
which can yield sizeable tax savings, preserve personal estates
for heirs, and enable the donor to make a significant gift.
ROSE SOCIETY - Members of the
Foundation's Rose Society include those who have named Wesley Homes
Foundation in their will and/or have executed a charitable gift
annuity or other planned gift. Rose Society members are invited
to a special annual recognition event and are recognized in the
donor honor roll included in Wesley Homes' Annual Report.
